Camera Angles I Like

Here we are, folks. My first post of (almost) 2013. I thought I would share 12 of the 20 basic angles/shots I like to use when working out my page layouts. Each of these shots can be modified hundreds of times by changing the shape and panel size, flipping the angle from right to left, slanting, and moving the elements within the shot closer or farther away from the camera to create whatever mood you’re looking for. So, in essence, these are just a representation of where you may start in the design of a particular panel.

And just so we’re clear, these are shots/angles that I personally like to use. Some are based on the standards found in a few “How-To” comics guides and others are derived from the Manga/Anime I’ve enjoyed throughout the years. I hope this helps some of you guys out there struggling with camera angles and whatnot.

*Note: The other 8 are mostly close-ups and a couple of action shots. I’ll probably share those at a later time.
